Pearl Munonde is a highly experienced producer with a 26-year track record in Film, TV, and Documentary Production. Despite not possessing formal qualifications in the field, she has forged a successful career by progressively advancing through the ranks and accumulating extensive expertise.
Pearl is recognized for her achievements as both a Producer and Line Producer, having overseen numerous award-winning projects for esteemed broadcasters like SABC, Mnet, Mzansi Magic, and ETV.
Early in her career, Pearl embarked as a Script Coordinator and Translator for Soul City (Series 3 - 5) in 1997. She later assumed roles as a Script Development & Production Coordinator, contributing to a diverse array of productions, including reality shows, game shows, drama, magazines, documentaries, music shows, educational children's programs, corporates, and commercials.
She collaborated with renowned companies such as Ochre Media, Curious Pictures, and Rapid Blue, holding positions such as Production Manager on various productions.
Pearl's Production Work
Pearl's journey as a producer commenced as a Production Manager and evolved into a Line Producer on shows like Zola 7 (Series 3 - 5), Takalani Sesame (Series 4), and the documentary series "Our Own Stories - In Our Own Voices." Since 2007, she has produced award-winning reality shows such as Zola 7 and Choice, along with a diverse array of programs, including "Ba Kae?," "My World," "Our Moments," "Courage," "Kwela Express," "FanBase," "Now or Never," "Nhlalala Ya Rixaka," and numerous corporate segments for government departments and corporate giants.
